When sirens sound, Israel war victims, especially elderly residents often have only seconds to reach a protected shelter. For seniors with limited mobility, this creates an urgent need for Israel humanitarian aid, as it may take too long to reach safety – especially when they live alone without nearby support.
In the context of ongoing war, many older adults feel they must remain in or near shelters throughout the night to avoid the risk of being caught outside during an alert. As a result, social workers have found seniors trying to rest on makeshift cots in shelter areas, enduring long and uncomfortable nights.
