What Does TAMID Mean?

Tamid literally means constant.

What we do regularly becomes part of who we are — shaped not by intensity, but by presence. The Torah describes the Land of Israel as a place under constant Divine attention: “תָּמִיד עֵינֵי ה’ אֱלֹקֶיךָ בָּהּ”“The eyes of Hashem are constantly on it” (Deuteronomy 11:12).

The Alter Rebbe taught that this same consistency should be reflected in how we give — “וְלֹא בְּפַעַם אַחַת וּבְבַת אַחַת”“not once-off and in one go, even when the total sum is the same.”

TAMID Partners give steadily, creating ongoing support for people whose needs do not pause.
